The website, csgoshuffle-trade[DOT]com, is a fake domain for CSGO Shuffle, “a popular betting site for streamers and players of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) to trade item skins. The site is designed to look like Steam’s trading window. Malware is on this site, but it is not downloaded automatically; it is triggered by interacting with the page in much the same way Steam users might interact with a trading window. When users tick the “Confirm trade contents” blue bar on the site and confirm that they are “ready for trade,” it enables the “Accept Trade” button at the bottom of the page. Once users click this button, a “Trade Offer Accept” window pops up, telling them that their item has been submitted to the store, but by running a new “Escrow” application they won’t have to wait three days for the transaction to be completed. Clicking “Okay” sends them to a Dropbox page that contains a download for “Escrow.exe.” Naturally this file is malware. Malwarebytes detects this file as containing “Backdoor.NanoCore.”One Shot, One Kill, No Skill: Why a Regular Gamer Started Paying to Cheat at Video Games"Everything was very rushed and we only needed him to play 2 matches," 'espgodson' writes in a Reddit thread. "Anyways, just wanted to come on here to say that none of us had any idea he was cheating and absolutely no one on our team would ever intentionally do something like that."While the RGM-1100 doesn’t support 16.8 million colors or have a multitude of macro keys, it does have multi-color lighting, configurable settings, and adjustable weight.

But what of these "intuitive layout changes"? The details can be perused over on this rather thorough blogpost, but whole sections of the map have been removed (such as the middle tunnel in the yard) while the bomb site has been shifted to another corner of the map. The update's announcement post will let you compare the old textures to new ones, if you like, as well as that sidebar notification of 10,452,064 unique players last month. Obviously a lot of this comes out of yet another Steam sale, where folks who aren't sure if they'd be into Global Offensive pick it up for a fiver and give it a go. Still: that's a lot of people conducting sickening headshots on one-another, and not a mile behind Dota 2's 11,938,602 monthly players.A poster on Reddit also produced these mockups of how pro teams could use the new glove skins to create cosmetics in their style. No surprise would be had if this was the main aim of the update from Valve's point of view. The Na'vi ones look particularly sweet, and I've always thought the gun skins weren't really enough - for me, they look rather ugly a massive amount of the time, logos stamped on with no real thought or pattern.

That’s pretty damn cool. Although if I was Gabe, I’d probably prefer it if the internet stuck to making videos of me as a discount-granting Jesus. This is a guest contribution by Adam Stevens of CustomEsports, If you would like to submit a contribution please contact Bill Beatty for submission details. Thank you.Valve oddly makes betting incredibly easy in the game itself. One can buy cases that have randomly won weapons upon opening, which the keys to open also cost money. Those weapon skins can be easily transferred to third-party pools, or websites, to be either sold or put into a ‘pot’ to be won by betting on different professional and semi-professional CSGO matches. There is a wide variety of websites that offer ways to use your weapon skins as collateral, and currency, to gamble and place bets."Why do I open all these cases if, when I get something, I just sell it anyway?" he asks himself. "The money spent is probably more than what I get back. I don't know. Because I like it I guess."

The inclusion of Papers, Please was interesting, since it highlights the biggest strength of Steam Machines in general: indie games. The PC is the most open platform for developers of small, simple-to-control games, while consoles are the most accessible way for players to consume them. Combining the two was supposed to be the Ouya’s job, but with that disaster quickly fading in the rear-view it’s the catalog of Steam and the fidelity of the Steam Controller that look like they could combine to realize that goal. Even if the pads are too cumbersome for the top 5% of shooter players, that still leaves any number of players hungry for a living room solution. The SteelSeries Kana CounterStrike: Global Offensive Edition is a mid-range gaming mouse that SteelSeries describes as “more than a Kinzu and not quite a Sensei… in size and features.” Aimed at dedicated gamers who want a solid gaming-worthy mouse without (completely) breaking the bank, the Kana CS:GO Edition looks to compete with mid-level offerings from other gaming peripheral manufacturers such as Razer’s DeathAdder, Cooler Master’s CM Storm Inferno, and Logitech’s G400. How does the Kana CS:GO Edition stack up to its competitors? SteelSeries graciously sent us a test product to review, so we put it to the test to figure out its capabilities as well as its limitations. Our weeks-old, St. Louis -based CS:GO server has hosted lively Steam events about twice a week. We run custom maps exclusively because the community has somehow produced 1,000 of them for CS:GO since adding Steam Workshop support last month. I earmarked my early favorites in February, but new favorites have already emerged, like the cs_sauna remake.Gaming system builder and etailer Yoyotech presented its new Black Box watercooled prototype PC on the main show floor.

In 2006 the Unlawful Internet Enforcement Act made some sweeping changes, but left a noticeable grey area. Specifically it “…prohibits gambling businesses from knowingly accepting payments in connection with the participation of another person in a bet or wager that involves the use of the internet and that’s unlawful under any federal state or law.”“In terms of hardware design and processing power, Wii U cannot be compared with PS4 or Xbox One,” says Leadbetter. “Nintendo invested in the innovative touchscreen GamePad controller instead of the core tech, but it’s really difficult for multiplatform game developers to scale back PS4/Xbox One titles to less capable silicon, and also to invest time and resources into gameplay modes that it cannot deploy on the other systems.”Based in Montreal, OPSkins is an in escrow system for the sale of virtual gun designs, also known as skins, earned from playing the first person shooter video game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Users come to the website and put their skins up for sale, and the company then keeps the item on hold until money from the buyer is received. New Counter-Strike skins are rewarded randomly, earned by completing challenges, or bought through the Steam Community Market—and every day, between 10,000 to 15,000 items are exchanged on OPSkins’ site. Some of those items sell for thousands of dollars. The most expensive item, a virtual knife, sold for $5,000.

Instead of speculating on how rare the good items really are, or basing their findings on a small sample size, one player decided to take the results from all 10,761 ONSCREENlol case openings in the last 12 months to come up with a relatively accurate explanation for why players are so used to seeing valueless Mil-Spec items when they open cases. For the first time in series history, weapon skins provided a means for players to individualize themselves beyond just their control mannerisms. Ostentatious players could equip themselves with one of a number of colorful skins, while classy players opted for more realistic configurations. Those who hated the idea altogether could run with the defaults to showcase their unwillingness to assimilate. Although the AK-47 and M4 would continue their dominant usage among players, everyone's loadout would appear a little different thanks to the skins.

Note that we're in the process of reviewing a few of these; you can also find some of our existing reviews linked below. The commonality of RGB lighting in PC components seems to be ever increasing. Despite its rise to ubiquity, RGB LED lighting is still a feature that isn’t included in budget products; for this reason, products that incorporate RGB lighting at a reasonable price point are particularly interesting.
